sensation on the body. Sue is raising awareness of this rare condition,
via ‘Ted, the travelling bear’! Ted is visiting families touched by this

being diagnosed with Parkinson’s a few years ago, she continues to lead
bike-riding groups in her small village in South East England. She also
leads a campaign to gain a million women cyclist by 2020. By continuing
with cycling, she wants to prove to herself and others that she can
remain active.

free festival, celebrating the South Asian culture in the South East of
England. The festival is full of different musical performances including
Indian Classical and Bollywood music, as well as World Music; exhilarating
dance acts and family fun activities. It is enjoyed by the various migrant
communities as well as the local British people along with their families and
friends.

Parkinson’s disease affects each
person differently, but for many people, it results in speech difficulties.
Some sufferers become so quiet that they are almost inaudible. However, struggling
to speak doesn’t mean that they won’t be able to sing. In the city of
Southampton, every Tuesday afternoon, a group of people who are suffering from Parkinson’s
disease gather together, just to sing! It not only gives them an opportunity to
relax, but also to enjoy their social life.

Midland Freewheelers is a British Charity, providing free breast milk
delivery service to a women’s hospital in Birmingham, England. Volunteer
bikers collect donated surplus breast milk, and transport it to the
hospital...where it’s processed and given to sick or premature babies
who can’t get breast milk from their mothers. Independent radio producer
Gloria Khamkar visited the hospital to explore this service.

In the UK, day care service centers provide an important support to
elderly people, who are living on their own. These centers give them the
opportunity to mix and meet with others, especially if they are
isolated at home. Without these centers, elderly people are at risk of
lacking personal contact with others. Gloria Khamkar visited a center in

This month, it is the 101st anniversary of the Titanic which sailed from
the city of Southampton in England in April 1912 on its one and only
voyage to New York. The ship sank just five short days later, after
striking an iceberg in the north Atlantic. Independent producer, Gloria
